BEEF RICE IN TOKYO, JAPAN.
Whenever I’m in Japan, I would not miss this famous classic rice; Beef Rice. The beef meat is thinly cut, is sweet and tender. One of the cheaper food available in Japan yet one of the best rice dish. Beef meats are readily available in Japan so this dish is everywhere. Restaurant price maybe higher but buy it from any fast chain food outlet should do. One of them is Yoshinoya (one of the largest fast food chain group, outlet can be found almost at every corner in Tokyo).
Note: Fast food chain’s beef are usually imported from USA. Locally breed meat are Wagyu or Kobe beef that are usually served in higher priced restaurants.
Price:±¥380 to ¥500 (2015 price & depending on portion size).
Verdict: Meat with mixture of thin and fat meat. Comes together with a bowl of miso soup on the side.
