Visit Shikotsu-Toya National Park, Japan

Shikotsu-Toya National Park is a national park (983 km²) in the central part of the island of Hokkaido, Japan. There are many lakes and active volcanoes in the park. Showa-Shin-zan, Usa-zan, and Tarumae-zan are the more well known among the active volcanoes. These volcanoes are also responsible for some popular Onsens. (Source from Wikipedia).

I was there in 2015 during summer season which is not too cold in Hokkaido (plus-minus 21° Celsius). What was the experience? I’m able to see natural hot spring pond, sense of strong sulfur smell and beautiful mountain scenery. This makes me want to buy a better camera (*chuckle*). There is a shop that sell souvenir near the entrance to this hot spring. Awesome place for a quick visit and sense the sulfur (hehe…).
