Damansara Uptown Hokkien Mee Restaurant PJ. Looking for another Hokkien Mee spot? Well, I was in uptown again 2 weeks ago with a friend for another round of Hokkien Mee (noodles) and this time, we tried another shop.
Now, why I said another shop? It is because in Uptown Damansara, there are actually 2 famous Hokkien Mee restaurants. My friend and I had tasted the 1st shop which I wrote about here and this time we stop at the other shop.
This time we ordered 2 different dishes. One being the famous Hokkien Mee and the other is Cantonese fried noodles. Yes, we both ordered ourselves a hand full of food as our dinner. And yes, I do love both the dishes.
I tried both the Hokkien Mee from both restaurants, I would say both have their own distinctive taste. It is very much depending what you seek for in a Hokkien Mee dish. For me, I still couldn’t find my heavenly Hokkien Mee. But that’s just me. Anyway, here is my conclusion compare with the previous shop that I tried.
Verdict:-
Price: RM19.00 (Hokkien mee); RM19.00 (Cantonese fried noodles).
Portion: Enough for 4 persons.
Pros: Hokkien mee is dryer although I like it slightly wetter, the taste comparing the other shop, I like this one better. I also loved the Cantonese fried noodles.
Cons: This shop is RM1 more expensive than the last shop.
Side note: I am not sure whether these 2 shops are related but they are definitely nearby next to each other.
Come with the whole can of sambal belacan.
