Simple Air Fry Dishes

A) Soy Sauce Garlic Chicken

Until now, my soy sauce fried chicken was a failure. I could not get the garlic aroma after frying the chicken. I did read and watch how others made the recipe but I do not know what went wrong. And finally, today I gave another try with soy garlic chicken wings again.

1stly, marinate the chicken with soy sauce and garlic (this time, I pound the garlic cloves with some salt and then added soy sauce and mixed well the chicken wings). I have also added a teaspoon or slightly more sesame oil into the marination too. Basically, I marinate it with white soy sauce, garlic cloves pounded together with salt and a small amount of sesame oil. Mixed well together.

Fridge the chicken for 1 hour or more. To prepare for cooking, add corn flour, potato flour, bread crumb (mixed together) and coat chicken with it. Air fry 20mins at 180 degree each side.

Ingredients:

  • Garlic cloves.
  • Salt.
  • Whites soy sauce.
  • Sesame oil.
  • Corn flour.
  • All purpose flour.
  • Chicken wings.
  • Bread flour (optional).

Marinate:

  • Add salt into garlic cloves and pound garlic until watery.
  • Add sesame oil into chicken wings.
  • Add white soy sauce.
  • Mixed all until even.
  • Fridge for 1 hour or more.

Cooking:

  • Mix corn flour and all purpose flour.
  • Dip and cover marinated chicken wings.
  • Brush some oil onto the air fry pan.
  • Air fry for 20mins each side at 180 degrees.
  • Add another 5 to 10 mins until evenly cooked.

B) 5 Spices Pork

Simple air fry pork (best with pork shoulder) with 5 spices and salt. Air fried with mixture of corn flour and all purpose flour. Ingredients needed are a chunk of Pork (preferably pork shoulder) and salt top of pork meat. Fridge for 1 hour. Then mixed corn flour and all purpose flour together and coat the pork. Air fry each side for 20mins at 180 degree plus another 10 to 15mins (for better chrunchiness).

Ingredients:

  • 5 spices powder.
  • salt.
  • Pork shoulder.
  • Corn flour.
  • All purpose flour.

Marinate:

  • Rub 5 spices together with some salt onto pork evenly.
  • Fridge for 1 hour or more.

Cooking:

  • Mixed corn flour and all purpose flour.
  • Cover flour on all sides of pork.
  • Air fry for 20 mins each side at 180 degrees.
  • Add another 10 to 15 mins until outer pork become crispy.

C) Red Bean Curd Chicken Wings

This is another one of our favorite simple dish using air fryer to cook. This dish is very similar to 5 spices pork except that it is best with chicken wings. Just marinate the chicken wings with red bean curd, small amount of white soy sauce and small amount of black soy sauce for a bit of coloring (although it may not be necessary as red bean curd is already slightly on the darker side).

Mixed well and fridge for 1 hour or more. Cooking is similar with mixture of corn flour and all purpose flour and air fry for 20 mins each side at 180 degrees. Add another 5 to 10 mins until fully cooked.
