My home cooked sweet sour pork recipe.
Marinate:
- Cut pork shoulder chunk
- Oyster sauce
- Salt (lighter in color after cooking) or Soy Sauce (slightly darker in color after cooking).
- Corn flour
- Fridge for about 1 hour
Deep fry:
- Corn flour & multi purpose flour mixture
- Salt
- Egg (beaten)
- Dip into flour mixture then dip into egg then into flour mixture again
- Deep fry until slightly yellowish.
Tomato sauce:
- Tomato sauce (bottled type)
- Capsicum chunk (red, yellow, green)
- Onions (red or yellow)
- Pineapple chunk
- Cucumber or Kurri cucumber chunk
- Garlic
- Brown sugar
- Salt
- A little vinegar (I use dark vinegar)
- Chinese wine
- Water (a small bowl)
- Corn flour
Cooking:
- Heat up butter or cooking oil
- Add garlic & stir fry it
- Add Capsicum, Onions, Pineapple, kurri cucumber
- Add tomato sauce, add water & stir fry until soft
- Add brown sugar to taste
- Add salt to taste
- Add dark vinegar to taste
- Add chinese wine to taste
- Add corn flour & stir fry until sauce slightly thick
- Add the pork shoulder & mix to cover pork chunk evenly
Best served hot with rice .
