Home Cooked Sweet Sour Pork

My home cooked sweet sour pork recipe.

Marinate:

  • Cut pork shoulder chunk
  • Oyster sauce
  • Salt (lighter in color after cooking) or Soy Sauce (slightly darker in color after cooking).
  • Corn flour
  • Fridge for about 1 hour

Deep fry:

  • Corn flour & multi purpose flour mixture
  • Salt
  • Egg (beaten)
  • Dip into flour mixture then dip into egg then into flour mixture again
  • Deep fry until slightly yellowish.

Tomato sauce:

  • Tomato sauce (bottled type)
  • Capsicum chunk (red, yellow, green)
  • Onions (red or yellow)
  • Pineapple chunk
  • Cucumber or Kurri cucumber chunk
  • Garlic
  • Brown sugar
  • Salt
  • A little vinegar (I use dark vinegar)
  • Chinese wine
  • Water (a small bowl)
  • Corn flour

Cooking:

  • Heat up butter or cooking oil
  • Add garlic & stir fry it
  • Add Capsicum, Onions, Pineapple, kurri cucumber
  • Add tomato sauce, add water & stir fry until soft
  • Add brown sugar to taste
  • Add salt to taste
  • Add dark vinegar to taste
  • Add chinese wine to taste
  • Add corn flour & stir fry until sauce slightly thick
  • Add the pork shoulder & mix to cover pork chunk evenly

Best served hot with rice .
